About Me
The story so far.

I'm Yaasiin Oozeer, a PhD-holding researcher based in Quebec, Canada. My work sits at the intersection of engineering, technology, and creative problem-solving.
When I'm not diving into research or writing code, you'll find me behind a camera capturing wildlife and astrophotography, carving through powder on the mountain, or training in martial arts.
I run Maktub Labs — a solo venture where I build apps and products that solve real problems. From iOS apps that track your AI subscription usage to 3D-printed snowboard tuning tools, I believe in making things that are both useful and well-crafted.
The name “Maktub” — مكتوب — means “it is written.” It's a reminder that everything happens for a reason, and that the work we put in shapes the story.
